Bhai Rasal Singh was born in 1949 in the village of Arif Ke, District
Ferozepur, in the house of Sardar Teja Singh and in the womb of Bibi
Iqbal Kaur. Bhai Sahib was married to Jasbir Kaur and had two children,
Nirmal Singh and Anup Kaur. Before coming into Sikhi, Bhai sahib was
deep stuck in drugs, alcohol and meat eating and other evils but One
Darshan of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa changed him. After listening to
Sant Ji's Katha, Bhai Rasal Singh gave up drugs, meat and alcohol and
kept his Kesh. Few days later, in 1979, he took Amrit and joined Damdami
Taksal as Vidyarthi.
When Sant Ji sent Singh's to punish Thanedar Bichu ram, Bhai Rasal
Singh was one of the Singh's along with Bhai Ajaib Singh and Gurnam
Singh. Bhai sahib emptied his carbine in Bichu ram's body and Singh's
fled giving out jaikaare.
During Operation Bluestar, Bhai Rasal Singh was in Morcha right
of Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib. He was so brave and daredevil that during
operation, on morning of 6th June 1984 at sunrise, when ground in front
of Akaal Takhat Sahib was full of bodies of Indian army men, two army
men used to pick their heads from within dead and look for way to
escape. Singh's said we should take both these attackers down, but it
was tough taking the shot as tanks and artillery were pounding Parikarma
and Akaal Takhat. Bhai Rasal Singh left his Morcha, came into open
ground without fear of death, and shot dead both army soldiers from
close range before returning to his Morcha. He escaped army tank fire
and came back into the Morcha, where he attained Shaheedi with rest of
Singh's of his Morcha around 9.30 am on 6th June.
Bhai Jarnail Singh Booh was part of 'mission bichu ram' with Bhai
Ajaib Singh and Bhai Rasal Singh. Out of a group of Singh's who had
been arrested during the morchay, Bichu Ram began asking the Singh's
where they had taken Amrit from, one Singh named Leher Singh replied
"from Bhindranwale Jatha". Bichu Ram shaved of his beard and said go and
tell your Bhindranwale I did this. Bas fir ki si, Bichu Ram signed his
own death warrant. Bhai Ajaib Singh Mahakal was sent to finish of the
dusht.
