One time, they were attacked by people who wanted to take over the
Gurudwara and severely wounded on the head and lost part of their scalp.
The doctor who saw them was a member of sangat and had previously said
he doesn't understand how Singhs in the old days would keep fighting
even when seriously injured, and also questioned how one can become
unaware of the body during bhagti etc. Sant Kishen Singh Ji just said
"you'll see one day", and left it at that.
When he was about to administer the general anaesthetic, Sant Ji refused and told the doc to operate without it. Skin grafts were taken from the legs and stitched to the head, all while they were awake and didn't flinch once. The doc got his answer.
